Quick Facts

Domestic violence is pervasive in the U.S., affecting 1 in every 4 women in their lifetimes. Most incidents are never reported to the police, because many victims believe the police can't help with their situation [4]. With the steady decline of domestic violence rates over the past 20 years [2], we believe major awareness and education efforts can work. Families who find themselves in a desperate situation need resources

like those that our non-profit partners provide –things like refuge and shelter, free legal help, or a 24-hour emergency hotline. Bringing awareness to this cause is crucial because it affects every race, age group, and socio-economic class, and its deplorable effects spread from generation to generation. This month, CharitySub focuses on helping victims of domestic violence, so we can all live in a better world!

Children from violent homes have higher risk.
