WhyHunger is a grassroots support organization that works with more than 8,000 community-based groups across the US and the world to fight hunger and poverty. The organizations they support go beyond giving people emergency food, and include job training, nutrition education, and youth programming. They also operate the only National Hunger Hotline (NHH) that connects callers with food assistance in their local area.

Since their last feature on CharitySub they are continuing to operate the NHH which has been a vital resource to victims of Hurricane Sandy. Additionally, they’ve been growing their Imagine There’s No Hunger campaign with Yoko Ono and Hard Rock International, to combat childhood hunger in 26 communities around the world.
