A $5 Subscription for Giving

“We all want to make a difference, but knowing where to start can be hard. We created CharitySub to break the barriers to philanthropy.”

— Alexis Winslow
Creative Director/Cofounder CharitySub.org

This month CharitySub turns ONE! Instead of blowing out candles and dancing until the sun comes up, we’re spreading the birthday love by giving three of our favorite charities from 2012 another chance in the spotlight. These charities were with us during our

early days and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Join us as we dive back into fighting hunger & poverty, work to instill positive nutritional education in our schools, and bring arts education to homeless shelters.

Which causes did CharitySub Impact in 2012?
Who did CharitySub\'s Partners Help?
4004 people helped in 2012

CharitySub directly helped more than 4,004 people, but that’s only a small portion of the impact we made in 2012. Not all of the work made possible by our donations is easily quantifiable.

Through donations for things like water tests, food pantries, school supplies and policy changing efforts, we have surely touched the lives of thousands more. We are so excited to see what 2013 has in store!

CharitySub Timeline

To our dear subscribers,

Because of your loyalty and support, not to mention your Tweets and Facebook shares, our community of subscribers has grown tremendously. We really couldn’t have done it without you. It's been an honor to work alongside our members to make a positive impact in 2012, and we're eager to accomplish even more in 2013.

Additionally, we owe many thanks to our wonderful writer, Salina Cole, and the talented guys at Plywood Pictures who produce our videos, without whom we could never pull it all off.

In the upcoming year we’ll be supporting new causes, continuing our gift card offering, and so much more. Stay tuned and thank you again from the very bottom of our hearts.

Here’s to you and all those good vibes you help us put out month after month,

Let’s celebrate charity encore 2012 together.

Apple Arts

Art Education in Shelters
Apple Arts

Apple Arts works to bring art to homeless children in New York City to help raise their self-esteem and confidence. Their art education programs inside of city homeless shelters provide an environment where children can learn to express themselves creatively.

Food Education for Teachers & Teens

FoodFight believes that educating the educators will help reverse childhood obesity. By bringing holistic nutrition education to both student and teacher, healthy choices trickle from the classroom into the lives of students’ families.

Hunger Hotline & Fundraising

With over 35 years of experience, supporting local and global solutions to the hunger problem and programs like The National Hunger Hotline, WhyHunger hopes to end the root causes of hunger. WhyHunger works with more than 8,000 community-based groups across the US and the world to fight hunger and poverty.
